This energy moves like wind
you can't see it coming,
only feel it when it's already
changed the direction of everything.
Everything now tilts toward her,
the morning already knows her name
before I've opened my eyes.
I catch myself mid-sentence,
forgetting what I was saying
because the thought of her walked in
and made itself at home.
But she is not the only one
this wind is like a breath
that carries two names,
both of them mine to keep.
The breeze blows by whispering their names.
It resonates within me
a frequency I didn't know my heart could hold.
They don't know yet
how much territory they've taken
whole rooms inside me
neither has named,
hallways they wander through
that I didn't even know existed
until they walked in.
